Our prayer meeting was held in the beautiful chapel at First United Methodist Church with Susan Watson as our hostess. Thirty or so ladies from various churches joined together and gave worship to our Lord, Jesus Christ. We so enjoy each others company. We began in song and then broke down into smaller groups for prayer. What a wonderful experience to hear God' daughters talking aloud to Him, pleading for His blessings on the Raonoke Valley and encouraging each other to persevere in walking out our faith. We ended the night giving testimonies.
My testimony......
Earlier in the day I was running copies for the next Prayer Squad along with making plans for the Spiritual Spa that will be on Saturday. I was sitting at my computer so I was also sending an email to a youth leader at church offering to help in that area. I needed to prepare for the High School Sunday School class and was wondering when I would do that. All good things that I enjoy and usually don't stress over. But for some reason my head was starting to hurt. Was I to make some decision on what God wants me to do? I thought maybe I should call Jane and tell her I needed to step down from the Prayer Squad. I went upstairs to paint the bathroom (another job that needed done) and the phone rang. I hesitated answering it. I am so glad I did!
Jasa was calling with a message from God. She always seems to have a word for me just when I need it. God had given her a vision of me sitting at a desk with different stacks of paper. I was to focus on the stack right in front of me and put the other stacks underneath. What I was currently working on was to be my priority and then everything else would fall into place.
WOW! Jasa had no idea what I was doing or the decision I almost made. Thank You Lord for giving me direction through your servant Jasa. Thank You for Jasa being one who will listen to You and not be afraid to call me. I feel so refreshed and ready to do however God leads the Prayer Squad to serve the community.
